Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy for Simply Converting
Effective Date: 22 October 2026
Who We Are
Simply Converting Pty Ltd (ABN 15 630 194 866) is an Australian business based in Sydney. We run Google Ads and Meta Ads and build AI systems for ecommerce and lead generation businesses. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Simply Converting, and “the Website” means https://www.simplyconverting.com/ and its pages.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the choices you have. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected].
What We Collect
- Details you give us: when you fill out a form, book a call or contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, business name and website, your answers to our questions (such as your monthly ad spend or revenue range), and anything else you choose to tell us. Some intake forms let you leave a voice memo; if you do, we collect the recording.
- Booking details: the time of your call, your location details such as city, state, postcode and country if you give them, and the notes and recording of the call where you agree to it being recorded.
- Website usage: pages you view, how you move through the Website, your device, browser type and approximate location, collected through Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and the ad platforms’ tags described below.
- Ad click identifiers and campaign tags: when you arrive from an ad or a tagged link, we keep the ad click identifier added by Google, Meta or Microsoft (such as gclid or fbclid), the campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source and utm_campaign), the page you landed on, the website that referred you and the time. This is stored in your own browser for 90 days and does not contain your name, email address or phone number.
- Booking confirmation page: when you reach the page that confirms your booking, we record your IP address, browser details, the ad click identifiers and campaign tags above, and the Meta browser identifiers (the _fbp and _fbc cookies) in our lead database, so we can match the booking to the ad that led to it.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information such as health, financial account, racial or religious information, and we ask you not to send it to us.
Why We Use It, and Our Legal Basis
- To answer enquiries and deliver our services: to run your call, prepare proposals, deliver the work you engage us for and manage our relationship with you. For visitors in the EU and UK, our legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, and performing the contract.
- To measure which ads led to a booked call: to understand which of our ads and campaigns bring enquiries and booked calls, how good those leads are, and to improve our advertising. For EU and UK visitors, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring and improving our own marketing, and your consent where the law requires it for cookies and similar technologies.
- To send updates and marketing: by email or text message, where you have agreed to receive it or where the law otherwise allows it. You can opt out at any time.
- To Send Marketing Communications: We may use your phone number for sending marketing text messages regarding updates or offers related to our services. You can opt out of these messages at any time by texting “STOP.”
- To keep records and meet legal obligations: including tax, accounting and dispute records.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
Who We Share It With
We share personal information only with the service providers below, to run our business and our advertising, and where the law requires it. Each provider handles it under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads): website usage through Google Analytics, and Google Ads tags that record visits and conversions. When you book a call after clicking a Google ad, we send Google the ad click identifier and the fact that a call was booked (and later stages such as the call taking place), so Google can report which ads led to bookings. Google privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
- Meta (Meta Pixel and Conversions API): the Meta Pixel records visits and bookings on the Website. When you book a call or move through our sales process, we also send Meta your email address, phone number, name, city, state, postcode and country in hashed form (scrambled with a one-way code before they leave our systems), plus the Meta lead id if you came through a Meta lead form, ad click identifiers, and the IP address and browser details captured on the booking confirmation page. Meta uses this to tell us which ads led to booked calls and good quality leads, and to improve the delivery of our ads. Meta privacy policy: facebook.com/privacy/policy.
- Microsoft Clarity: records how visitors use our pages (clicks, scrolling and page views) so we can improve them. Microsoft privacy statement: privacy.microsoft.com.
- GoHighLevel: our customer relationship system, which runs our booking calendar, forms, email and text messages. Your details are held on its servers in the United States.
- Zoom and Google Workspace: for calls, call recordings and transcripts, email, documents and scheduling.
- Cloudflare: hosts the Website and handles the traffic to it.
- Supabase: hosts our lead database, in its Sydney, Australia region. It holds your lead and booking records and the details captured on the booking confirmation page.
- Our professional advisers and authorities: accountants, lawyers and government bodies where we need to or the law requires it, and a buyer of our business if it is ever sold.
California Residents and Meta Limited Data Use
For contacts we know or reasonably believe are in California, we flag the data we send to Meta with Meta’s Limited Data Use setting, which limits how Meta may use it. Under California law, sharing information with Meta and Google for cross-context advertising measurement may count as “sharing”. You can opt out as described under Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information below.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies and browser storage are small pieces of data saved on your device. The Website uses the following:
- sc_attr (Simply Converting, browser local storage, 90 days): the ad click identifiers and campaign tags described above, so we know which ad brought you to us if you book later.
- sc_sched_id (Simply Converting, browser session storage, until the tab closes): a random booking reference so a refresh of the booking confirmation page is not counted twice.
- _ga and _ga_* (Google Analytics, up to 2 years): tell visits apart and measure how the Website is used.
- _gcl_au and _gcl_aw (Google Ads, 90 days): link visits and bookings to Google ad clicks.
- _fbp and _fbc (Meta, 90 days): link visits and bookings to Meta ads and ad clicks.
- _clck and _clsk (Microsoft Clarity, up to 1 year): group page views from the same visitor and session.
- GoHighLevel booking calendar: the embedded calendar may set its own cookies needed to run the booking.
You can control cookies in your browser settings, delete them at any time, or browse in a private window. Clearing your browser’s site data for simplyconverting.com removes the sc_attr record. You can also manage ads from Google at myadcenter.google.com, from Meta at facebook.com/adpreferences, opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and opt out of interest-based ads from many companies at optout.aboutads.info. Blocking cookies will not stop the Website working, though the booking calendar may need its own cookies.
Your Rights
Australia: under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, you can ask to access the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. You can deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym where that is practical, though we cannot book a call without contact details.
EU and UK: under the GDPR and UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information (portability), object to or ask us to restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier use. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
California: under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA you can ask to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and to access, correct and delete it, and you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights. You can use an authorised agent to make a request for you; we may ask the agent for your signed permission and ask you to confirm your identity.
To make any request, email [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity first. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
To opt out of us sharing your information with Meta and Google for advertising measurement, email [email protected] and ask us to stop, or include the words “tracking opt-out” in any request to us. We then tag your record so that no further data about you is sent to Meta or Google. This does not delete information already sent; you can ask us to delete what we hold, and use the Google and Meta controls above for what they hold.
Overseas Disclosure
Some of the providers above store or process personal information outside Australia, mainly in the United States (Google, Meta, Microsoft, GoHighLevel, Zoom and Cloudflare, which also serves the Website from data centres around the world). We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it, including choosing providers with published privacy and security commitments.
How Long We Keep It
- Ad click identifiers and campaign tags in your browser: 90 days, then they expire.
- Lead and booking records: for as long as we have a business relationship with you, and after that for up to 7 years for records we must keep for tax, legal and accounting purposes. Records we do not need to keep are deleted or de-identified sooner.
- Data sent to Meta and Google: the contact details are sent only in hashed form, and Meta and Google keep what they receive under their own terms.
How We Protect It
We use access-controlled business systems, encrypted connections, password protection and limited staff access to protect personal information. No system is entirely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and to destroy or de-identify it when we no longer need it.
Children
The Website and our services are for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we never send data about anyone under 18 to Meta or Google. If you think a person under 18 has given us their details, email us and we will delete them.
A2P Compliance
We comply with applicable regulations, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and other applicable laws related to Automated Text Messaging (A2P). By providing your phone number, you agree to receive communications from us via automated methods (including text messages). You may opt out at any time by texting “STOP.”
Google User Data
Simply Converting uses internal software to manage Google Ads accounts on behalf of our clients. This software uses Google sign-in and the Google Ads API. It is used only by Simply Converting staff.
- What we access: When a Simply Converting staff member signs in with Google, we access their name and email address to identify them. Through the Google Ads API, we access data for Google Ads accounts that our clients have linked to our Google Ads manager account under a service agreement. This includes campaign settings, performance metrics, keywords, search terms, assets and conversion data.
- How we use it: Only to report on, audit and manage the Google Ads account the data comes from, for the client who owns that account. We do not combine data from one client with another. We do not use Google user data for advertising, for building user profiles, or to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
- How we store and protect it: Data is stored in access-controlled business systems: Google Workspace (Google Drive and Google Sheets), private code repositories, secure cloud databases, and password-protected staff computers. Access is limited to Simply Converting staff who work on that client’s account.
- Who we share it with: We never sell Google user data. We share it only with the client who owns the account, and with service providers that process it on our behalf to deliver our services. These include AI assistant, reporting and ad management software providers. Service providers are bound by confidentiality and data protection terms, and may not use the data for their own purposes. We may also disclose data where required by law.
- Retention and deletion: We keep Google Ads data only for as long as we need it to deliver our services and meet our business, legal and record keeping obligations. When an engagement ends, the client removes our manager account link and we stop accessing their Google Ads account. Reports and working files from the engagement may be kept in our business records. A client can ask us to delete their Google Ads data at any time by emailing [email protected], and we will delete it unless we are legally required to keep it. A staff member can revoke sign-in access at any time from their Google Account permissions page.
- Contact: For questions about how we handle Google user data, or to request deletion, email [email protected].
Simply Converting’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Third-Party Links
The Website may link to other websites. They have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints. Visitors in the EU or UK can also complain to their local data protection authority.
